Hello! I’m Patti. I live in Thornton, Colorado, with my husband, our son, and our two dogs. While my heart often wanders toward the quiet of the country, I’ve learned that the "homestead" isn’t just a place—it’s a way of living. Whether I’m hiking, hunting, and foraging in our beautiful mountains or tending to my garden and baking at home, I believe in the beauty of slow-made, handcrafted things.

A Mission Born of Necessity

My journey into the art of gluten-free baking took a deep, personal turn in 2023 when my son was diagnosed with Celiac disease. For years, I had been advised to go gluten-free for my own autoimmune health, but it wasn't until I saw my son missing out on the simple joys of a good slice of bread or a warm cinnamon roll that I truly "dove in."

I quickly discovered that store-bought gluten-free options were often expensive and, frankly, disappointing. I couldn't accept that "cardboard" texture as our new normal.

I set out to recreate everything my family loved—pizza, sourdough, tortillas, and bagels—using heritage techniques and premium ingredients.

My goal was simple: it shouldn't just be "good for gluten-free"; it should be good bread, period. Today, the greatest testimony to my recipes comes from my friends and family who don’t eat gluten-free but still reach for a second helping.
